Lincoln Center Zine Project

Project from graphic design software class

May 2023

This project showcases my growth and creativity in my knowledge of InDesign. I chose to delve into the history of a significant area close to my roots, using the 'Gin' font for its playful vibe, contrasting the area's somber past. Curating images from a free archive library heightened the storytelling within the zine. The deliberate choice of smaller cover text set the stage for a visual journey, juxtaposing historical and present-day images of Lincoln Square's evolution.

Working closely with my professor, Christopher Swift, we meticulously crafted a sophisticated grid system and established a compelling font hierarchy. Our collaboration merged mentorship with my insights, shaping a project that embodies creative growth. The culmination was at the Spring 2023 Senior Art Show, where Lincoln Square captivated viewers, marking a moment of dedication and recognition in the creative realm.
